Low on Fuel, collected storiesby C.P. Riley, Jr. Discover the world of C.P. Riley Jr., chemist and author of this collection of short stories and two novellas. His characters might travel in time, emigrate to the US from Ireland, or evaluate shady business schemes that make or break their personal fortunes. Neil Bell anchors the plot of Low On Fuel in the world of Double 0-7 intrigue. He is a world traveling scientist/inventor, with a desire to end the problem of hunger in Africa, and the ability to avoid red lights in traffic. It is exciting to explore the underground world of international science, and Riley takes us there, where he lived and worked for many years. He introduces these characters as though he were at a backyard barbeque, offering steaks and scotch on the rocks to his guests. We feel we know these people already, that we could be next to them in line at the buffet, but perhaps we have never seen them in quite this light before. Reading the stories in Low On Fuel creates the feeling that anything is possible and that anyone could have a secret agenda. About the AuthorC. P. Riley, Jr. studied for two degrees in chemistry.
