A city comes to life because of its people. People, who through their personal endeavors and life work encompass honesty, compassion, ability, integrity, spirit, action, and vision, are the fabric of the city. Like the comforting city tree lights, which brighten the dark, these mentioned individuals, and innumerable others, have benefited us all. Nashua People and Places is a celebration of all their lives.

This heavily illustrated book is the result of a collaborative effort between The Nashua Historical Society and author Meri Goyette. Selected historical details of New Hampshire’s second largest city are presented with fascinating anecdotes and many black and white photographs.

About The Author

With no formal art background or connoisseurship, Meri is motivated by a sincere desire to assist artists in exhibiting their works. Her focus: bringing artists and art to the public’s attention constantly pursuing alternative exhibit spaces. Her desire to celebrate the city of Nashua as an artistic community is evident in this volume. Many additional contributors shared personal experiences and photographs, and Ms. Goyette was also assisted by Dr. Charles Goyette, her supportive husband, and Meri Reid, her daughter and angel.
