Depth of WellsPoems by Maren C. Tirabassi A New England clergywoman's poetry reflects on the people she has met in urban, suburban, and rural churches in the region during the past 20 years. Her poems are stories of people and events organized around the changing seasons of life, from birth through childhood, marriage, old age, and death.
"Tirabassi is that rare poet-preacher who doesn't give answers she doesn't have. Instead she draws words into pictures. If you love poems or the seasons or both, you will find your well filled by this collection." Maren C. Tirabassi is a poet, liturgical writer, and bi-vocational pastor of Northwood (NH) Congregational Church. She teaches the writing of poetry in public schools and in prisons. She is coauthor of An Improbable Gift of Blessing (1998), Gifts of Many Cultures: Worship Resources for the Global Community (1995), Touch Holiness (1990), and other books. She frequently performs her work and is currently touring in "What Lies Beyond - A Journey in Three Voices," a performance piece funded by New Hampshire State Council on the Arts and the National Endowment on the Arts.
