Shawnee Shadows
A Novel of Colonial Pennsylvania
By Thomas Ball
Shawnee Shadows is a breathtaking, historical fiction adventure set in the untamed western Pennsylvania wilderness of 1764. The author's painstaking research into the lives of pioneers, and of the native people, plus the use of accurate place names, transports the reader to the wilds of colonial Pennsylvania. The pioneers' heartrending adventure drives non-stop to a triumphant ending, while providing a realistic view of the conflict from both sides.
About the Author
Thomas Edward Ball was born in Hawley, Pennsylvania, on February 4, 1929. He spent much of his youth exploring the backwoods of the Pocono Mountains in the northeastern corner of the state, which were literally right outside his back door.
Although he had a gift for storytelling, he was consumed with his family of 10 children and his work and as such did not begin writing until he retired in the early '80s. He wrote four novels prior to passing away on May 19, 2000. He had so much more to experience and write.
